The main topic of this product is behavioural change. A platform termed GreenCheddar is geared to overcoming "present bias," which is a term used in behavioural economics to describe peoples tendency to ignore issues that dont immediately affect them. In the absence of a direct cost that can be created or observed, this bias will always persist.

In our situation, the "present bias" is energy use. Rather than choosing what is best for their home, wallet, or environment, people will choose what they consider to be necessary to consume. By offering prizes in the form of gift cards and an energy insurance programme that pays your energy bills in exchange for sustainable behavioural change, we want to assist people in overcoming this tendency.
Therefore, our goal is to assist homeowners in monetizing their Scope 4 Emissions. Emissions under Scope 4 are referred to as avoided emissions.
